The dramatic rescue and swift recovery of a little stray kitten has captured the hearts of thousands online.
In a Reddit post, the kitten's new owner said that, in just seven days, a dirty, matted and struggling feline named Toffee was transformed into a clean, fuller, and visibly healthier cat. Since the photos of Toffee were shared, the post has received more than 67,000 upvotes and over 570 comments.
The initial Reddit post featured striking "before" and "after" photos. The "before" picture showed Toffee looking frail, with a matted coat and teary, sticky eyes. The "after" photo, taken just days later, revealed a plush, clean and contented kitten.

"Saved this little kitty last week. We decided to call her Toffee," the poster wrote.
The transformation sparked an outpouring of emotional responses.
"Reading this … made me feel hope—for the kindness in humanity, for the vulnerable creatures being looked after. I haven't felt that in a long time," one person wrote.
Another described the visible impact of the rescue: "Dramatic transformation in how she looks, and I bet how she feels—emotions plus how her body and face feel is SO much better now! Big healing glow up of love."
The poster later provided more details in response to the numerous comments, crediting her husband and a dedicated vet for Toffee's incredible progress.
"Honestly it wasn't me. It was my husband who's extremely compassionate toward cats," the poster shared. The success was also attributed to professional help: "We have a vet next to our place, and Dr. Ahmed (an Egyptian vet in Saudi) does the magic. We're so grateful to him."
The poster clarified the timeline of Toffee's dramatic recovery: "She was taken to the vet and had to stay there for five days. When we got her back, my husband gave her a shower the next day, hence the after picture looks so healthy."
Before her rescue, Toffee was clearly struggling with health issues. The poster said that the cat has allergies from dust, which makes her eyes teary and sticky, and also she experiences wheezing and sneezing because of it. Toffee has been prescribed some antihistamine for cats and is now doing "a lot better."
Despite her rough start, Toffee's sweet nature quickly shone through.
"She's so so well behaved," the poster shared. "And all she wants is to be petted and cuddled."
The change in Toffee's appearance and demeanor ultimately convinced her new family to make the adoption permanent. "When I saw I was so overwhelmed by the transformation that I insisted we should keep her! And now she's here with us!"
